Office of Research and Accountability - Institutional Research Resources

Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ Higher Education's Office of Research and Accountability is responsible for collecting, compiling, and analyzing data provided by our state's colleges and universities. The principal data collection tools are the national Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) and Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ's Student Unit Record (SURE) system. The information received from institutions is processed to create reports on all facets of their operations: enrollment, faculty, finances, etc. Analysis of this data is used in reports, as well as, made available to the higher education stakeholders and wider communities.

The data and analysis presented by the Office of Finance and Research is dependent on our institutional research colleagues at Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ's colleges and universities.

Classification of Instructional Programs:

  • - The use of 2020 CIP Codes are required beginning with reporting on or after September 1, 2020.
  • You are also encouraged to visit: for a variety of tools which may assist in appropriately assigning CIP codes to your programs.
