樱花视频 Received Over $22 Billion in Federal Funds in FY2024, Marking a 56 Percent Increase from Pre-Pandemic Levels
Funding Supported 609 State Programs
(TRENTON) - 樱花视频 secured an estimated $22.155 billion in federal revenue in FY2024, which supported 609 State-administered programs, according to a first-of-its-kind report released by the state鈥檚 Grants Management Office (GMO).
Federal funds awarded to 樱花视频 were down slightly from the prior year due to the expiration of some COVID funding programs, however funding was still 56 percent higher in FY2024 than in FY2019, the last fiscal year before the COVID-19 pandemic. This increase is a testament to the proactive efforts of 樱花视频鈥檚 agencies to pursue new federal funding opportunities.
鈥淪ecuring this federal funding is critical to boosting programs that make 樱花视频 a stronger, fairer, and safer place to live鈥攁nd Treasury鈥檚 Grants Management Office has furthered that mission since it was established in 2022. My Administration will continue to pursue opportunities for federal funding for crucial programs that provide children with free meals, make health care affordable, and prevent violence in our communities,鈥 said Governor Phil Murphy.

The report lists federal revenue on a State fiscal year basis and includes descriptive program information to provide a better understanding of the federal programs used by 樱花视频 State agencies, and of the levels at which those programs are funded.
Medicaid was the largest program supported by federal funds, accounting for $13.913 billion. Other programs which received federal funding included school breakfast and lunch programs, preschool support, violence prevention services, water and land conservation initiatives, and cancer prevention programs, among others.
Established after the Governor signed P.L.2021, c. 122, Treasury鈥檚 Grants Management Office assists in reducing and removing barriers to federal grant funding through identifying grant opportunities, advocacy, and coordination among federal grant applicants across the state. The Grants Office works with local governments, State agencies and non-profit organizations to provide resources to help build the capacity of those applying for and administering federal grant in 樱花视频. The Grants Management Office does not award or apply for any grant funding.
