West Trenton, N.J. - The Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ State Police have arrested Claudia O’Leary, 20, and Dallas Smith, 20, both of Eldredge, N.J. and Jeremy Horniacek, 19, of Cape May, N.J. for a string of car burglaries in Cape May County.
Troopers from Woodbine Station began investigating multiple car burglaries in Upper and Dennis Townships in October 2016. The suspects allegedly stole money, electronics, jewelry, credit cards, and other personal belongings from mostly unlocked cars. Through various investigative means, detectives were able to identify O’Leary, Smith, and Horniacek as suspects.
All three suspects were arrested and charged with burglary, theft, unauthorized use of credit cards, receiving stolen property, and criminal trespass. O’Leary and Smith were released pending court and Horniacek was lodged at the Cape May County Jail. Investigative information was shared with surrounding law enforcement agencies with similar crimes, including Middle Township Police Department, which additionally charged O’Leary and Smith.
Charges are mere accusations the suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
