West Trenton, N.J. - The Super Bowl is only two days away and as everyone prepares for the big game, the Ó£»¨ÊÓƵ State Police will have increased patrols statewide to target dangerous driving behaviors.
In addition to normal patrols, there will be approximately 70 additional troopers deployed state-wide from Saturday, February 4 to Monday, February 6. Troopers will focus on DWI, aggressive driving, seatbelt usage, cell phone violations, and motorists exhibiting signs of distracted driving.
"The only way that you can guarantee that you're a winner this weekend is by not getting behind the wheel after drinking," said Colonel Rick Fuentes, Superintendent of the Ó£»¨ÊÓƵ State Police. "If you plan on drinking alcohol, make sure that you either have a place to stay, a designated driver, or an available car service for a safe trip home."
Although only one team will come out on top on Sunday, we are tossing up some easy tips everyone can win with.
Don’t get sacked for a loss this weekend by getting behind the wheel after drinking alcohol. Enjoy the game, make responsible decisions, and get home safely.
