Frankie Lamar Williams was born in 1985 in Atlantic City, Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ, and grew up in Lakeland, Florida. After graduating from George Jenkins High School in 2003, he moved to Egg Harbor Township, Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Rutgers University. For seven years prior to enlisting in the Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ State Police, he worked at Lowe’s Home Improvement of Egg Harbor Township.
Trooper Williams enlisted in the Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ State Police on January 29, 2016, as a member of the 156th Class and served at the Woodstown and Port Norris Stations in Troop “A.” His service with the Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ State Police was characterized by loyalty, fearless performance of duty, and faithful and honorable devotion to the principles of the Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ State Police.
Trooper Williams died as a result of injuries suffered in a motor vehicle accident in the line of duty.
At 6:59 PM on December 5, 2016, Trooper Williams was traveling northbound on Route 55 in Millville, Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ responding to calls of an erratic driver operating a red Toyota Corolla southbound on Route 55. In the area of milepost 22.2 a red Toyota Corolla crossed the center median and struck Trooper Williams patrol car head-on. Trooper Williams was flown to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.
Trooper Williams served with the Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ State Police for ten months.
He was survived by his wife and parents. He was 31 years old.
