FY 2018 Hazard Mitigation Assistance Grants
FEMA Announces 2018 FMA and PDM Grants
Submissions due to NJOEM no later than COB November 30, 2018.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is announcing that funding is available through two Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) grant programs: Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) and Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM). These competitive grant programs assist state, local, tribal, and territorial governments in strengthening our nation's ability to reduce disaster losses and protect life and property from future disaster damages.
Potential applicants can review the specifics of the FY18 FMA and PDM programs in the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) which includes details such as eligibility, funding guidelines and evaluation criteria. We would like to remind you that complete applications for 2018 FEMA Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) and Pre-Disaster Mitigation (PDM) grants are due to NJOEM (through eGrants) by COB November 30, 2018. NJOEM Mitigation Unit staff must review, revise and coordinate with other State agencies before submitting final complete application packages through the Attorney General's office prior to the January 31, 2019 FEMA deadline. We encourage all applicants to submit applications through eGrants as early as possible due to the short time frame and turnaround of applications.
