ITIN Holders Direct Assistance Program

Under the new ITIN Holders Direct Assistance Program, the Division of Taxation will be sending aid payments to Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ residents who used Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITINs) when filing their 2021 Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ Income Tax returns.

An ITIN is a tax processing number issued by the federal Internal Revenue Service to individuals who are required to have a U.S. taxpayer identification number but who do not have a Social Security number.

Individuals who have a Social Security number do not qualify for this program.

Who is eligible for a payment

Anyone who:

  • Has an ITIN (Individual Taxpayer Identification Number);
  • Has filed a 2021 Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ Resident Income Tax Return; and
  • Meets the income guidelines shown on the chart below.
