Guide for Requesting Public Record Information

Service Table

Business Registration Certificate Used for:

  1. public contracting, as proof of valid business registration with the Ó£»¨ÊÓƵ Division of Revenue; and
  2. compliance with Chapter 85, P.L. 2006, defined under N.J.S.A. 54A:7-1.2. (Un-incorporated construction contractors performing work in NJ or registered unincorporated contractors requesting proof of registration).

Lists registered agent, business addresses, filing date, date last annual report filed, officer/directors/managers and legal status (active, dissolved, merged, etc.)

Standing Certificates Attest to the legal status of business entities such as corporations, and limited liability companies operating in Ó£»¨ÊÓƵ. These certificates are certified under the seal of the State Treasurer and serve as legal documents.

Copies of filed documents/information

  • Business entity documents including certificates of formation/incorporation and amendments

Provide basic information such as names, addresses and filing/registration dates.

Information on UCC Filings (Debtor/secured party names and addresses, filing numbers, filing history, etc.)
