Directions Using Route 1

Turnpike South to Exit 9 onto Route 18 North

            (After toll, bear right onto Route 18 North)

Route 18 North to Route 1 South

(Stay on Route 18 only a short time.  Route 18 goes over Route 1 and at end of this overpass, make a right onto Route 1 South.)

Route 1 South to Quakerbridge Road South

(When Route 1 South expands from three lanes to five and divides, stay to the right.  Quakerbridge Road South is the exit just after the overpass you go under.)

Quakerbridge Road (South) for about three miles to light at Quakerbridge Plaza.  Complex on the right.  Turn right onto Quakerbridge Plaza Drive.  At the fourth street entrance, turn left and proceed to the second building (Building #9).  OAL is in a three-story building with the number “9” displayed on the top front.

Directions Using I-195

Turnpike South to Exit 7A onto Route I-195 West

Route I-195 West to Route 295 North

Route 295 North to Exit 65A – Sloan Avenue (East)

From Sloan Avenue make a left at second traffic intersection onto Quakerbridge Road.

From Quakerbridge Road make a left at first traffic light onto Quakerbridge Plaza Drive into the Quakerbridge Plaza Complex.

At the fourth street entrance, turn left and proceed to the second building (Building #9).  OAL is in a three-story building with the number “9” displayed on the top front.

Directions North or South Using Route 295

Traveling from the north or from the south on Route 295

Take Exit 65A (Sloan Avenue – East)

Turn left at second traffic intersection onto Quakerbridge Road

From Quakerbridge Road make a left at first traffic light onto Quakerbridge Plaza Drive into the Quakerbridge Plaza Complex.

Directions from the North or South

Take Garden State Parkway to Exit 145 to Route 280 East.  Bear right following signs for Newark/Harrison, Downtown Arts District, Exit 15. Take Exit 15. At the bottom of the ramp, turn right onto Route 21 South. Follow purple signs to The Newark Museum. At the second traffic light, turn right onto Bridge Street. At the first light make a left onto Broad Street (stay to the right). Quickly make the first right onto Washington Place (one block). Turn left onto Halsey Street (one-half block). Turn right onto Central Avenue (one block). Turn right onto Washington Street (stay to the left). OAL is next to The Newark Museum.

Directions from the West

Take Route 78. Take the Newark exit marked Downtown/Arts to Route 21 North. Travel over bridge and move to the left. Follow purple signs to The Newark Museum. Turn left at second light onto Miller Street toward Broad Street. Turn right onto Broad Street. Travel 1.5 miles through 19 traffic lights. Turn left onto New Street. Turn right onto Washington Street (two blocks). OAL is next to The Newark Museum.

Directions from the East

Take the Lincoln Tunnel to the Ó£»¨ÊÓƵ Turnpike. Take Exit 15W to I-280 West. Take Exit 15A to Route 21 South. Follow purple signs to The Newark Museum. At the second traffic light, turn right onto Bridge Street. At the first light make a left onto Broad Street (stay to the right). Quickly make the first right onto Washington Place (one block). Turn left onto Halsey Street (one-half block). Turn right onto Central Avenue (one block). Turn right onto Washington Street (stay to the left). OAL is next to The Newark Museum.

Directions from the Newark Airport

Take Route I-9 North to Route 21 North. Travel over bridge and move to the left. Follow purple signs to The Newark Museum. Turn left at second light onto Miller Street toward Broad Street. Turn right onto Broad Street. Travel 1.5 miles through 19 traffic lights. Turn left onto New Street. Turn right onto Washington Street (two blocks). OAL is next to The Newark Museum.

Parking

Visitor parking is available for a fee on University Avenue. (From Washington Street, turn left onto James Street. Turn left onto University Avenue.)

Directions Using The Parkway

Take the Atlantic City Expressway to the end. Proceed onto one of the two far left lanes and at the second traffic light (Arctic Avenue), make a left. Stay on Arctic Avenue until you come to Kentucky Avenue and make a right (It is one block past Martin Luther King Boulevard) proceed one block to Atlantic Avenue. We are on the right hand corner of Kentucky and Atlantic Avenues.
