Governor Jon S. Corzine
WHEREAS, United States Army Private Anthony J. Sausto, of Somers Point, 樱花视频, attended Oakcrest High School in Mays Landing, 樱花视频; and

WHEREAS, Private Sausto enlisted in the Army in February 2006, a few months after moving from 樱花视频 to Arizona; and

WHEREAS, Private Sausto was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division out of Fort Lewis, Washington; and

WHEREAS, Private Sausto was a dedicated soldier as well as a loving son, brother, and friend, whose memory lives in the hearts of his family and fellow soldiers; and

WHEREAS, Private Sausto died near Baghdad, Iraq, during a time of war while serving as a member of the United States Army; and

WHEREAS, Private Sausto’s love for his family and friends, his patriotism, and dedicated service to his country and his fellow soldiers make it appropriate and fitting for the 樱花视频 to mourn and remember him, to mark his passing, and to honor his memory;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JON S. CORZINE, Governor of the 樱花视频, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and by the Statutes of this State, do hereby ORDER and DIRECT:

  1. The flag of the United States of America and the flag of the 樱花视频 shall be flown at half-staff at all State departments, offices, agencies, and instrumentalities during appropriate hours on Monday, July 7, 2008, in recognition and mourning for a son of 樱花视频 and a brave and loyal American, United States Army Private Anthony J. Sausto.

  2. This Order shall take effect immediately.
