Authorized to Teach
The Emergency Medical Technicians #4114 endorsement entitles the holder to teach in Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ Department of Education (NJDOE)-approved career and technical education (CTE) courses in the following programs, and programs of study under the following codes.

Employment experience requirements can be met using one of the following:
- Full-time or part-time employment, or both (not self-employment)
- Self-employment
- Military qualifications and training
- Acute fluid and respiratory disorders
- Cardiac life support
- Electrocardiography
- Emergency medical care
- Emergency medical techniques
- Medical emergencies
- Paramedic cardiology
- Paramedic theory
- Paramedic trauma management
- Pediatric life support
- Pharmacology for the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) provider
Candidates must submit a copy of their current credential issued by the Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ Department of Health for at least one of the following state-issued credentials:
- Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT) Program Coordinator
- Lead Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT) Instructor
- Emergency Medical Technology/Technician (EMT) Instructor

Note: All EMT programs offered at school districts must meet the requirements of the Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ Department of Health and Senior Services.
Employment experience is only required if the candidate is obtaining certification using one of the following:
- Grade point average (GPA) exception under Option 1: Bachelor's Degree or Higher
- Option 2: Associate Degree with Employment Experience
- Option 3: Employment Experience Only
Candidates using option 1 without the GPA exception are not required to have employment experience.
