The Drafting and Design Technology #2544 endorsement entitles the holder to teach in Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ Department of Education (NJDOE)-approved career and technical education (CTE) courses in the following programs, and programs of study under the following codes.

Option 3: Employment Experience Only
Employment experience requirements can be met using one of the following:
- Full-time or part-time employment, or both (not self-employment)
- Self-employment
- Military qualifications and training
- Architecture, technology and the environment
- Building systems
- Computer-aided design and drafting (cadd)
- Drafting
- Engineering principles for building science
- Foundation architectural design
- Introduction to design and the environment
- Structural systems
- Sustainability and architecture
Candidates must submit a copy of their current architect license issued by the Individuals holding an architect license or other applicable license issued by a state, county, municipality or government agency other than the Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ State Board of Architects will not meet the Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ licensure requirement.
Employment experience is only required if the candidate is obtaining certification using one of the following:
- Grade point average (GPA) exception under Option 1: Bachelor's Degree or Higher
- Option 2: Associate Degree with Employment Experience
- Option 3: Employment Experience Only
Candidates using option 1 without the GPA exception are not required to have employment experience.
