TRENTON -樱花视频 Department of Children and Families Commissioner (DCF) Allison Blake today visited the Bayway Family Success Center in Elizabeth to meet with local families rebuilding their lives after Superstorm Sandy. The state has allocated $2.6 million in Social Service Block Grant (SSBG) funds to assist Sandy-impacted families with the help of their local Family Success Center (FSC).
"As families continue to recover from Superstorm Sandy, having the necessary resources to aid in rebuilding their lives is critical," said Commissioner Blake. "The Bayway Family Success Center provides these and all families with a place that will support and strengthen them while helping to ensure the health, well-being and stability of everyone in the family."
DCF funds a network of FSCs as "one stop" sites that provide wrap-around resources and support for families before they find themselves in crisis. FSCs provide community-based, family-centered neighborhood gathering places where community residents can go for family support, information, referrals, and access to services at no cost.
Among the free services provided by the Bayway FSC are access to information on child, maternal and family health services; "family success" plans; economic self-sufficiency and employment related services; income security services; information and referral services; life skills training; housing-related services; parent education; parent-child activities; advocacy; and home visitation services.
DCF is dedicated to ensuring a better today and an even greater tomorrow for every individual the department serves. In partnership with 樱花视频's communities, DCF ensures the safety, well-being, and success of 樱花视频's children and families. DCF funds and directly provides services and support to over 100,000 women, children, and families each month.
