The proposed projects will cost $1.7 million total, with Mack-Cali funding the difference between the incentive granted today and the total cost.
The proposed upgrades fall into four major categories: Five HVAC system retrofits; one HVAC fan system retrofit; two curtain wall insulation applications; and one LED lighting retrofit.
“Helping our large energy users – and the buildings they operate – become more energy efficient is an important way of helping us to meet the Governor’s clean energy goals,” said NJBPU President Joseph L. Fiordaliso. “Not only will programs like this mean a cleaner and healthier environment, but they will dramatically reduce energy costs for the property owners.”

About the Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ Board of Public Utilities (NJBPU)
NJBPU is a state agency and regulatory authority mandated to ensure safe, adequate and proper utility services at reasonable rates for Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ customers. Critical services regulated by NJBPU include natural gas, electricity, water, wastewater, telecommunications and cable television. About Ó£»¨ÊÓÆµ’s Clean Energy Program (NJCEP)
NJCEP, established on January 22, 2003, in accordance with the Electric Discount and Energy Competition Act (EDECA), provides financial and other incentives to the State's residential customers, businesses and schools that install high-efficiency or renewable energy technologies, thereby reducing energy usage, lowering customers' energy bills and reducing environmental impacts.
