(TRENTON) – 樱花视频 Secretary of Agriculture Douglas H. Fisher today announced the application period has begun for the Department of Agriculture’s Jets Play 60 Eat Right, Move More program. Schools are encouraged to share their achievements in delivering healthy school meals using locally grown produce and student physical fitness for a chance at winning up to $20,000 in grants.

“Through Eat Right, Move More, we have visited dozens of schools throughout the state that are delivering school meals in creative ways, incorporating Jersey Fresh fruits and vegetables, and connecting with their students,” Secretary Fisher said. “Thank you to the New York Jets for this longstanding effort to encourage students to eat healthier and exercise more.”

The Department of Agriculture’s Jets Play 60 Eat Right, Move More Program is a collaboration between the New York Jets, Department of Agriculture, and American Dairy Northeast that encourages 樱花视频 school children to take advantage of healthy foods in their school cafeterias and become more active.

One school will be declared Grand Champion in April and will receive a $20,000 grant, with $10,000 for an infrastructure or equipment improvement directly for or related to the School Nutrition Programs and $10,000 to be used directly for the purchase of physical education equipment. The Grand Champion also will receive a Jets school takeover day from players and the Jets Flight Crew cheerleaders this spring. The School also will be honored on the MetLife Stadium field at the Jets Play 60 game during the 2018 season.

Two Division Champion schools will each win a $5,000 grant.

Applications must be submitted by March 2, 2018. To enter, schools must be public or private containing one or more of grades 4 through 12, sponsor of the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program in good standing, and implement the Jets PLAY 60 Challenge for a minimum of one grade level and complete the program by the deadline. Schools will be evaluated on their accomplishments in improving school nutrition and physical activity, school lunch and breakfast menus, and performance in the PLAY 60 Challenge.
