(TRENTON) 鈥 樱花视频 Secretary of Agriculture Douglas H. Fisher today reminded consumers that the Garden State鈥檚 growing season extends through Thanksgiving, with an abundance of fall produce available now at roadside stands, farmers markets and supermarket.
Fall favorites being harvested now by the state鈥檚 farmers are:聽 apples, arugula, cilantro, baby spinach and arugula, basil, mint, beets, cabbage, collards, kale, dandelions, dill, eggplant, escarole, endive, leeks, lettuces, parsley, peppers, pumpkins, radishes, turnips, spinach, squash, sweet potatoes, Swiss chard, tomatoes and white potatoes.
鈥溣;ㄊ悠碘檚 fall crops go beyond our wonderful pumpkins and apples, usually associated with fall in the Garden State,鈥 said Secretary Fisher.聽 鈥淲e have an abundance of greens, herbs and so much more.聽 I urge consumers to bring some Jersey Fresh fall produce home to round out any meal or just for a healthy snack.鈥
